Our roadside units combine ANPR, CCTV and mobile phone detection technology to record the offence and issue notices to the registered keeper in line with current speeding enforcement procedures.

Vehicle Defect Detection
Statistics show that 30% of vehicles fail an MOT test due to defective lights and on average have 2 other failure points. We use the latest technologies in our roadside units to detect defective front lights.
Saving the time of Traffic Officers and the office administration costs that follow a normal VDRS notice and in line with PCN’s issued for Red Box, Bus Lane and other traffic contraventions, a notice can be issued requiring the Registered Keeper to have the vehicle inspected at a MOT Centre.
Minor defects will get fixed, vehicles with major defects will be taken off the road and only vehicles that don’t respond to the notices will be refered back to the Police.
Hand-Held Mobile Phones
The roadside unit can detect an active phone signal from a passing vehicle and record the IMEI of the phone.
The CCTV images will then be analized to see if the driver was holding a phone and the Registered Keeper can then be sent these images and requested to name the driver as would happen with a speeding offence.

Missing Front Number Plates
There is an increase number of vehicles on the road either without a front plate or with it wedged on the dashboard. Most bus lane and junction CCTV and average speed cameras will be unable to record the registration number.
If at ANPR fails to record a plate, the CCTV will store images of the vehicle and driver along with any IMEI from the vehicle. Most mobile phones are on a contract so the images can be sent to the phone owner with a request for the drivers details.
